Beyond the main LSA, FFA and SCBA categories, Dipti Fire Services has supplied a wider range of fire-protection and safety products. The information below is organised to help marine procurement teams identify the item, specification and quantity needed for a practical quotation.
Fire Extinguishers
Historical DiptiFire product records include water/CO₂ type extinguishers, dry chemical powder (DCP), mechanical foam and CO₂ extinguishers in various capacities, including portable and larger wheeled units. For a current requirement, send the extinguisher type, capacity, quantity, approval/certification and whether the enquiry is for new supply or servicing.
Marine use can add requirements around certification, corrosion environment, brackets/stowage and vessel specification. Do not order solely by colour or approximate cylinder size.
Fire Hoses, Couplings, Nozzles and Hydrant Equipment
For hoses and fittings, dimensions and connection compatibility matter. Include hose diameter/length, coupling type, nozzle or branch-pipe requirement, material/specification and quantity. If replacing an existing item, photographs of the connection and markings are useful.
Foam Concentrates and Foam Equipment
For AFFF or other foam-related enquiries, state the concentrate type/concentration, quantity, application or system, and any applicable maker or regulatory requirement. Existing fixed-system foam should not be replaced with an arbitrary concentrate merely because the nominal percentage looks similar.
Fire Detection and Alarm Products
Older DiptiFire records also mention smoke detectors, heat detectors and fire-alarm systems. For replacement items, send the system maker/model, detector type, part number and photograph. Fire-detection components can be system-specific, so compatibility should be confirmed before purchase.
How to Send a Product RFQ
| Include | Example |
|---|---|

| Specification | Capacity, size, concentration, diameter, connection, maker/part number |
| Quantity | Total pieces, drums/litres or sets |
| Approval | Class, flag, product certification or purchaser specification |
| Delivery | Vessel, Mumbai/JNPT or other Indian port/location |
Other Product FAQs
Are the capacities shown on the old website still available?
They are historical product records. Send the current requirement so availability and specification can be confirmed.
Can you supply fire extinguishers in Mumbai for marine use?
Dipti Fire Services can review marine extinguisher supply and service enquiries in Mumbai. State the type, capacity, quantity and required certification.
Can you identify a replacement detector from a photograph?
A photo is useful, but maker/model and part number are preferable because detector compatibility can be system-specific.
Need a Current Product Quote?
Send the specification, quantity, required approval and delivery location.
Portable Fire Equipment Should Be Specified by Type and Capacity
“Fire extinguisher” is not a sufficient line item for a professional marine quotation. State the extinguishing medium, capacity, quantity, required approval and whether brackets, cabinets, hoses or other accessories are included. If replacing an existing unit, include the old label or photograph. This matters because the vessel’s fire-control plan and approved equipment arrangement may require a particular type at a particular location.
For service enquiries, the same level of identification helps the workshop plan recharging media, components and testing requirements. If several extinguisher types are being landed together, group them by type and capacity in the list.
Foam Concentrate Compatibility Is a Technical Issue
A foam concentrate should not be changed casually because different products can have different performance, compatibility and system implications. State the existing concentrate, system information and required specification. Where the vessel or maker has an approved foam, that requirement should be respected. If the enquiry involves testing existing foam concentrate, describe the required test and sampling/documentation expectation.
Spare Parts and Accessories
Small accessories can delay a safety job just as easily as major equipment. When ordering hoses, couplings, nozzles, gauges, valves, lights or other components, send the maker/part information and photographs where available. For legacy systems, the exact replacement may no longer be manufactured, in which case an alternative should be assessed for compatibility rather than substituted silently.
Buyer Checklist for Other Fire & Safety Products
- exact product name and application;
- maker/model or existing item photograph;
- capacity, dimensions, pressure or connection details;
- quantity;
- required approval/certification;
- new supply or replacement;
- delivery port and deadline;
- certificate/manual/documentation requirement.
This checklist is intentionally practical. It reduces the chance of a quotation being based on an assumption that only becomes visible after the vessel is ready to sail.
New Supply and Service Should Be Quoted as Separate Actions
A common vessel list contains a mix of new items, routine service, recharge and replacement. Mark the required action against every line. This helps the supplier avoid pricing a new extinguisher where the vessel intended only a refill, or quoting service where the vessel has already decided that replacement is required.
Where an item is condemned or no longer supportable, the reason should be communicated. If an equivalent replacement is offered, the buyer should be able to review its specification and approval before accepting the substitution.
Port Delivery and Vessel Identification
For deliveries to a vessel, include the vessel name, IMO number, agent or receiving contact, port/terminal and delivery deadline. Small safety items can still miss a sailing if delivery instructions are unclear. Where the shipment includes pressurised cylinders, extinguishing media or other controlled goods, logistics may need additional planning, so early notice is preferable.
Documentation to Request with Supply
Depending on the product, the vessel may need a product certificate, declaration, manual, data sheet, batch information or other evidence. State the required documents before dispatch. Asking for them after the item is onboard can delay acceptance and may be difficult if the supplier has not retained the necessary traceability. For serviceable products, keep the document with the vessel or fleet maintenance record so the next service enquiry starts with positive identification.
Current Availability
Because this page combines a broad historical product range, availability should be checked at the time of enquiry. Where an exact item is not available, Dipti Fire Services can review the specification and advise whether a suitable current option can be quoted. Any alternative remains subject to the buyer’s technical and approval acceptance.
For Other Safety Products, Send the Existing Item Details First
Generic descriptions such as “hose”, “foam”, “extinguisher” or “fireman equipment” can cover many different specifications. For replacement items, send photographs, sizes, connections, existing make/model and required certification. This avoids substituting a superficially similar product that does not fit the vessel’s system or documentation requirement.
